Hellow Farm Friends!

It has been an amazing spring so far, and now we are ready to transition to our outdoor growing season for our summer veggies and fall crops. Here is a quick look at how empty the greenhouses are currently from our whirlwind plant sales.

Now It's time to plant outdoors!

Come on out and give us a hand if you would like to participate. I will be working this entire weekend, Saturday June 5 and Sunday June 6. Feel free to show up whenever you like, and leave whenever you need to go.

We have already begun planting our main summer gardens. Here is a quick look at some new Purple Passion asparagus planting over the last week. This will be our 5th planting of asparagus since 2010. We need more...

Here is an idea of what to expect on our to-do list for our upcoming weekend:
1) Plant (more) sweet corn
2) Plant (more) green beans
3) Plant (more) cabbage
4) Plant some winter squash
5) Pumpkin seedlings are ready to go out of the greenhouse and into their summer beds.
6) Seed our summer green manure cover crop mix
7) Cultivate our onions and fertilize for the summer growth
8) Plant (more) tomatoes

We also still have asparagus for anyone and everyone who comes out. This will be our last asparagus harvest of the season, so a celebration just might take place in the evenings.

Respond to this e-mail if you can join us so that I know how many to expect and how to plan out our days.

I can send directions as well to any who might need them to visit Covenant Gardens.

It's time to get ready for a great summer of growing!
Blessings,

Tim Martin
